Sandstone has been quarried from Wilkeson since 1886 and can be seen in major historical buildings around the Pacific Northwest; most notably the state capitol legislative complex in Olympia. The quarry has changed hands many times since it's inception, and is now a family owned and operated business supplying stone both to the retail and wholesale market.
